Teach for Palestine Supplies Partner Governmental Schools with 60 Laptops Donated by Mr. Ramez Al-Souso, Dr. Omar and Dr. Samir Abd Al-Hadi, and Bank of Palestine

As part of its commitment to supporting the education and training sector, and within the second cohort of the Capacity-Building Program for Basic Education Teachers (Grades 1–4), Teach for Palestine delivered a number of laptop computers to the National Institute for Educational Training for distribution to 60 trainee teachers. This initiative was supported by the generous donations of Mr. Ramez Al-Souso, Dr. Omar and Dr. Samir Abd Al-Hadi, and Bank of Palestine, with the aim of enhancing the quality of education and strengthening the technological infrastructure in Palestinian schools.

The laptops were handed over during an official meeting held at the Institute’s headquarters, attended by Dr. Tafeeda Jarbawi, Chairlady of the Board of Teach for Palestine; Dr. Suhair Qasem, Director General of the National Institute for Educational Training; and Mr. Kamel Al-Husseini, Director of the Department of Relations and Strategic Cooperation at Bank of Palestine, along with representatives of the partner institutions.

In her remarks, Dr. Tafeeda Jarbawi emphasized that this support aligns with the organization’s vision of empowering teachers in partner schools with digital learning tools and expanding access to high-quality education and training that meets the demands of the modern era. She highlighted the importance of partnerships with public, civil society, and private sector actors in creating sustainable educational impact.

For her part, Dr. Suhair Qasem expressed her appreciation to Teach for Palestine, Bank of Palestine, and the partners for this support, noting that the provision of laptops will directly contribute to improving education quality and enabling teachers to acquire practical digital skills that enhance their professional readiness.

Mr. Kamel Al-Husseini noted that supporting education and training is one of the core pillars of the Bank’s corporate social responsibility strategy, reaffirming the Bank of Palestine’s continued commitment to supporting initiatives that build teachers’ capacities and promote sustainable development in Palestine.

It is worth noting that Teach for Palestine is dedicated to providing high-quality education for Palestinian students in the lower basic stage by developing the capacities of new teachers in inclusive education, life skills, digitalization, the application of the STEAM approach, psychosocial support, and climate education. The organization also works to improve classroom environments by providing educational resources, technological equipment, and fully equipped classrooms in partner schools.
