As part of their social responsibility and commitment to supporting the education sector, Mikkawi Clothing Company made a generous financial donation to Teach for Palestine, with the aim of supporting its educational programs that seek to improve the quality of education in Palestinian schools.
The donation was handed over in the presence of representatives from both sides. Mr. Tha'er Mikkawi represented Mikkawi Clothing Company, while Teach for Palestine was represented by the Chairlady of the Board of Directors, Dr. Tafeeda Jarbawi, at the organization’s headquarters.
In her remarks on this initiative, Dr. Tafeeda Jarbawi expressed her deep gratitude and appreciation to Mikkawi Clothing Company, emphasizing that this initiative reflects a genuine awareness of the importance of investing in education. She noted that partnership with the private sector constitutes a fundamental pillar for achieving a sustainable educational impact that serves both students and teachers alike.
For his part, Mr. Tha'er Mikkawi affirmed that supporting education lies at the core of their vision of social responsibility, stressing their commitment to contributing to the empowerment of institutions working in the education sector and supporting initiatives that help build a generation capable of facing future challenges.
It is worth noting that Teach for Palestine dedicates its efforts to providing quality education for Palestinian students in the early basic education stage by developing the capacities of new teachers in the areas of inclusive education, life skills, digitalization, the application of the STEAM methodology, and psychosocial support, in addition to climate education. The organization also seeks to enhance the classroom environment by providing educational resources and technological equipment to the targeted schools.
