In a significant step aimed at supporting education and enhancing mental health within the school environment, the "Teach for Palestine" Institution signed an agreement with the Palestine Children’s Relief Fund (PCRF) to support a training project focused on building the capacities of new male and female teachers in public schools in the northern and central West Bank in the field of psychosocial support.
The agreement was signed by Ms. Lubna Musa, Executive Director of the Palestine Children’s Relief Fund, and Dr. Tafida Jarbawi, Chairlady of the Board of Teach for Palestine, in the presence of Mr. Arnan Bashir, PCRF Programs Director, and Mr. Anwar Abu Ammash, Executive Director of Teach for Palestine.
Commenting on the collaboration, Ms. Lubna Musa expressed her pride in the partnership, adding:
“We believe that supporting new teachers is a direct investment in the future of Palestinian children. We hope this cooperation will have a lasting positive impact on the mental and social well-being of the beneficiaries.”
Dr. Tafida Jarbawi also thanked PCRF, emphasizing that this partnership represents a distinguished model of integration between organizations working in the education and health sectors, and reflects a shared commitment to creating a learning environment that meets the mental health and psychological needs of both students and teachers.
The two parties also agreed to establish a strategic partnership in the near future to expand their areas of joint work.
The agreement aims to implement a nine-month project, which will include a series of interactive training sessions for teachers, school administrators, and supervisors, in addition to providing educational and technological tools to improve the classroom environment. It will also involve the development of a specialized training manual.
