Ramallah – October 11, 2025
“Teach for Palestine,” in partnership with the Ministry of Education represented by the National Institute for Educational Training, launched yesterday the Teachers Development Program for the second cohort of new teachers working in public schools. The program began with the first round of training on life skills, conducted by professional trainers in the field.
The two-year program includes 60 teachers — 30 from the northern governorates of the West Bank and 30 from the central governorates. It comprises training and practical application across six main areas: life skills, psychosocial support, inclusive education, digitization and STEAM, and climate education.
The program aims to provide high-quality education for Palestinian students in grades 1–4 by developing the pedagogical competencies and teaching skills of new teachers, strengthening their ability to apply modern educational approaches, and promoting interactive teaching methods and the integration of life skills in classrooms. It also seeks to enhance the classroom environment by providing educational tools and equipment — positively impacting the overall quality of the teaching and learning process.
It is worth noting that Teach for Palestine dedicates its efforts to providing high-quality education for Palestinian students in the lower primary stage by developing the capacities of new teachers in the areas of inclusive education, life skills, digitization, STEAM methodology, psychosocial support, and climate education. The organization also strives to enhance the classroom environment by providing educational resources and technological devices to the targeted schools.
